Helmet ("Kawari Kabuto") with Conch Shell ("Horagai") Shape

The helmet bowl ("hachi") is constructed of five plates in the form of a conch shell war trumpet. The gold lacquer interior indicates that the helmet was made for a very high ranking samurai.
