Lady in a wine red dress
(18th and 19th Centuries )
Waist-length, three-quarter to right portrait of a lady with smooth black hair, wearing a wine-red velvet dress with low cut lace yoke. This miniature reputedly was taken from the pocket of a dead officer on a Southern battlefield of the Civil War.
