Description This gold-brushed, panel-stamped brown leather (with a flap) is not original to Walters manuscript W.606. It has partially legible verse inscriptions in the upper and lower frames and doublures of red leather with central medallions, pendants, and cornerpieces, also brushed with gold.
Provenance Henry Walters, Baltimore [date and mode of acquisition unknown]; Walters Art Museum, 1931, by bequest.
