Tripod Vase

Description The tripod form and painted decoration of this vessel are characteristic of Teotihuacán, while the ceramic ware and carved scrollwork originated in Veracruz. A mythical blue jaguar climbs upward, holding a dripping cloud motif in his right paw. Similar imagery occurs on the painted walls of the city.
