Medallion with Soldiers before Seated Leader
(18th and 19th Centuries )
This dark blue jasperware medallion shows a Roman leader seated in front of three soldiers. The central standing figure may be a captive. Around the medallion is an ornate motif of lotus flowers and acanthus leaves.
