Kozuka with Branch with Persimmon
(Japanese Military Armor)
A persimmon hangs from a branch in the middle of the composition. Persimmons are associated with autumn. The background of the kozuka is made in two different alloys, one of which appears above the branch and one appears below it. The surface has been intentionally pitted and the depressions filled with gold.
