Phra Malai Manuscript
This Phra Malai manuscript, of very fine quality, is written in Cambodian Mul script with some Pali scripture excerpts. The illustrations are framed with green and red-striped borders and include: monks paying respect (fol.1), heavenly beings on a blue ground (fol. 2), hermits (fol. 5), devas on blue ground (fol. 6), food offerings with supplicants (fol. 24), picking lotus blooms to present to Phra Malai (fol. 25), male and female devas with lotuses (fol.39), an assembly of devas with Phra Malai and Indra at the Culamani stupa in heaven (fol. 57), and an unidentified subject with two girls and two boys in the woods (fol.73).
