Drachma of Alexander III (The Great)
Obverse: Head of Herakles wearing lion-skin, right. Reverse: Zeus, draped, seated on throne right, holding eagle in right hand, scepter in left; lyre to left under eagle; vertical inscription to right.
This is an extremely common type which usually varies only in its finer details. Here, the badly-abraded lyre is the only element allowing close identification.
