Sugawara denju tenarai kagami
(Japan and Korea )
Sakuramaru's brother Matsuomaru enters the service of Shihei, the enemy of the great calligrapher Sugawara Michizane. Eventually he tragically redeems himself: rather than kill Sugawara's son Kanshusai, as Shihei has commanded, he kills his own son and tricks others into believing that the dead child is Kanshusai.
