Tsuba with a Peasant by Looking at the Moon
(Japanese Military Armor)
A peasant stands at the right, carrying an ax over his shoulder and a straw basket in his hand. He gazes at the moon in the upper left. The clouds around the moon were created by cutting away the body of the tsuba. A small stream is at the lower left and continues onto the reverse.
