A gold lacquer ko-bako in the shape of two intersecting "books", one open and the other closed. Open "book" decorated with camellias (tsubaki), a winding stream, and a kingfisher; closed book with pine twigs, cloud layers, and an inscription in a cartouche (title) {flowers amd birds, wind and moon}; exterior sides of lid and box with hanabishi design
Design in hiramakie in gold with sections in togidashi; background of fundame in gold; exterior sides of box with fundame in gold; interior and bottom with yasuriko-nashiji
