Kozuka of Two Birds Flying over the Sea
(Japanese Military Armor)
Two swallows are shown flying above a wave. The artist's seal is in an elaborate frame on the right. The decoration is on a thin lacquer wood panel inset into the kozuka. There is a diagonal gold inset on the reverse, which can be seen from the front around the rim.
