Shitennoji garan kagami
(Japan and Korea )
As bolts of lightning pierce the darkness, Lord Umako clutches an arrow to protect himself from evil forces. He is engaged in a battle to protect the throne from an evil usurper, Lord Umaya. The play "The Monastic Mirror" was based on the story of a 6th-century rivalry between two powerful courtiers, each supporting a different prince for succession.
