Tsuba with Autumn Leaves
(Japanese Military Armor)
Surrounding the central opening of this tsuba is an openwork design of autumn leaves. At the upper right is a maple leaf. Two chestnuts leaves fill the lower right and the bottom edge of the tsuba. A pine cone and a gingko leaf complete the motif.
