Jitsuroku chushingura
(Japan and Korea )
Hangan pulls out his sword in a flash of anger, taunted by Moronao's insults towards his wife. Moronao had purposefully provoked Hangan's anger. He felt safe within the palace precincts, where fighting is a capital offence. Although he only wounds Moronao on the brow, Hangan is ordered to commit ritual suicide for causing a disturbance in the palace.
