Tsuba with Two Cranes among Reeds
(Japanese Military Armor)
On the front of this tsuba are two cranes among reeds at the water's edge. A third crane is on the reverse. Cranes are a symbol of longevity. Paired cranes often symbolize marital happiness and fidelity. Both secondary holes of this tsuba have been plugged.
