Tsuba with a Sparrow and Autumn Foliage
(Japanese Military Armor)
A small sparrow is depicted in flight at the left side of this tsuba. A stalk of pampas grass dominates the right side and small chrysanthemums are along the both. Although normally a late summer flower, lilies are shown at the right and on the reverse.
