Description Conservation Provenance Inscription Credit
Description A gentleman in 18th-century dress leans against a high, rug-covered table while writing with a quill. A painting in a gilt frame and a framed drawing have been placed upright on the table resting against the wainscot of the wall. Behind him a page is holding a portfolio of drawings or prints.
