Funerary Relief with Eight Figures

This unusual relief frieze was probably part of a base supporting a large grave monument. As with most Classical Greek funerary monuments, the figures are family members, both deceased and living, gathered together. The name of each figure is inscribed on the horizontal molding above.

[Inscription] Inscribed on upper moulding: ΟΔΩΡΟ ΘΕΩΜΗΔΗΣ ΙΠΠΟΜΑΧΟΣ ΕΟΜΝΗΤΗ ΚΗΦΙΣΟΔΩΡΟΣ ΜΟΙΡΟΓΕΝΗΣ ΚΛΕΑΓΟΡΑ.
