5/19/2016 | Treatment | The box is decorated with champlevé and basse taille enamel work. The underside is engraved with two birds in a floral scene that is covered in transparent green enamel. The enamel is in good condition with one minor loss on a corner of the lid. The engraving for the basse taille enamel is so deep that it pierced the gold on the rim of the lid. Some enamel can be seen on the interior lip of the lid. The interior of the lid and box are covered with transparent green enamel. |
