Bust of Shiva
(Southeast Asia )
Seventh-century sculptures of Shiva are rare, and the identification must be based on comparision with the more common images of the composite deity Harihara- the right side of whose head is characterized by Shiva's matted locks, the left side by Vishnu's diadem.
