Kozuka with Rihaku (Ch. Li Bai [Li Pai]) Looking at a Waterfall
(Japanese Military Armor)
At the bottom of the kozuka stands the 8th-century Chinese poet Rihaku (Ch. Li Bai [Li Pai], also known as Li Bo [Li Po]). He holds a wine cup and a staff. His attention is directed to the waterfall at the top of the composition. One of his most well-known poems is about the waterfall at Lu-shun.
