Seated Buddha in "Maravijaya"

This small Sihing-type image- gem radiance, short folded mantle, right hand on knee, "vajrasana," robe ends hanging below the legs- seems to date from some moment in the 2nd half of the 15th century or 1st half of the 16th. The sculptor was apparently aware of the ideal Early Ayutthaya oval face.
