Tsuba with Tiger and Waterfall
(Japanese Military Armor)
The tiger is common symbol of power in Japanese art. On this tsuba, the tiger is at the lower right. A stream is near it at the lower left. An unusual secondary hole is above the tiger on the right, along with a standard utility knife hole on the left. On the reverse is a waterfall.
