Description This cup in the shape of a woman with an elaborate dress who holds up a smaller cup on a pivot is an amusing curiosity. It is a traditional German marriage cup of the period. The husband drank from the skirt, filled with strong drink, while the bride drank from the pivot cup. The cup could not be put down until drained.
