The Holy Family

Description Conservation Provenance Credit
Description This little picture of the Holy Family represents a type of intimate devotional image made in large numbers for personal contemplation. This particular formulation was popular in Rome and the two little heads of cherubs appear to be based on the work of the well-known painter Carlo Maratta.
