Box for Inkstone and Writing Implements (suzuri bako)

Description The box is decorated in gold lacquer to depict stylized waves. The character "nezame" written inside the lid suggests a literary reference for the waves-to a 12th-century love story, "Awake at Night" ("Yoru no Nezame").
