Johannes Christian d'Arnaud Gerkens (Artist)

Gerkens was born in the Haag. He was an illustrator, most famously of the "Frauenliebe und -leben" ("A Woman's Love and Life") by Adelbert von Chamisso, a cycle of lyrical poems set to music by Robert Schumann and others.
