Jeweled Cruciform Watch with Rock Crystal Case

Description Exhibitions Provenance Inscription Credit
Description A jeweled surround was added at the same time as a tiny, hinged box or reliquary behind the jewel at the base. The golden rays with the brilliant red and white jewels (symbolizing the passion and purity of Christ) suggest that the relic housed in the cross was associated with Christ.
