Sestertius of Agrippina the Elder
Obverse: Head of Agrippina, bare, draped, right; beaded border. Reverse: Large S . C central with small dot and crescent interpunct; beaded border.
This coin was issued under the authority of the Emperor Claudius for his sister-in-law Agrippina, wife of Germanicus, who died in 33 CE. Claudius later married Agrippina the Younger, who was his niece.
