Intaglio with a Hunter and a Dog Set in a Ring
A hunter walking left with a dog at his feet is shown on this intaglio. The hunter wears a short tunic and holds a rod over his right shoulder from which a hare and a pot hang. The dog looks back at a bird held in the hunter’s left hand. The hunter may be a personification of winter.
