Phra Malai Manuscript
This Phra Malai manuscript is written in Cambodian Mul script with some Pali scripture excerpts. The sponsor, Nai Khli, is mentioned three times in the course of the text. The illustrations, having yellow floral borders, depict a fair number of subjects: two pairs of devas (fol. 2), a man reciting from a manuscript (fol. 5), Hell scene (fol. 25), lotus pond with wood cutter offering lotus flowers to Phra Malai (fol. 26), worshipers in the sky (fol. 40), Chulamani stupa in heaven (fol. 41), Chulamani stupa with Indra on the right (fol. 60), the age of evil with fighting (fol. 76), and Phra Malai with lay people (fol. 77).
