Oval Plaque
A group of Neapolitans have crowded onto a horse-drawn cart to escape from Mt. Vesuvius, which is seen erupting in the background. During the 19th century, solidified lava from Mt. Vesuvius was carved to make cameos, which were popular souvenirs among travelers to Italy.
