Fuchi with Basket of Peaches on a Table
(Japanese Military Armor)
At the right, a basket with four peaches is depicted on a Chinese style writing table. Clouds swirl around the right of the table. Peaches are a symbol of longevity because peaches from a mythical garden were said to give immortality to those who ate them. This is part of a set with Walters 51.1035.
