A gold lacquer rectangular ko-bako on four low feet with ovrlapping lid and containing an interior tray and four interior covered boxes; two longer sides cut away in a long curve. Top of lid and exterior side with various kinds of overlapping chrysanthemum blossoms; interior tray decorated with partly lowered bamboo blinds from hollyhock leaves (aoi) hang down; interior boxes with different patterns as background for sprays of plum, cherry, iris, and chrysanthemums
Design in togidashi in gold, red, brown, and silvery lacquer of various shades; interior tray with design of hiramakie and applied gold foil on background of hirame in gold on black ro-iro; interior lid, body of box, and bottom of tray with dense nashiji; design of four interior boxes in hiramakie with touches of red, interior with nashiji; all rims with kinji
