Tsuba with a Dragon Emerging from Waves
(Japanese Military Armor)
A dragon clutching a jewel is shown among waves on this tsuba. The jewel is taken from Buddhist belief and is also related to the two tide ruling jewels controlled by the Dragon King of the sea. The dragon's body wraps around the tsuba with its head and the jewel shown at the top.
