Tsuba with a Chrysanthemum Blossom and Two Bees
(Japanese Military Armor)
This tsuba is in the shape of a chrysanthemum, with the central opening made in the middle of the petals. On the front, a bee alights on the lower left of the flower. On the reverse, a bee can be found at the upper right. Some of the lower petals are tipped in gold. Chrysanthemums are an autumn flower. A chrysanthemum forms the crest of the imperial family.
