8/10/2016 | Treatment | The silver inlay was irregularly tarnished from exposure to sulfurous pollutants. The inlays were cleaned using organic solvents and a vinyl eraser. After cleaning, the casket was coated with a resin to reduce tarnishing and abrasive polishing in the future. |
