Tsuba with Temple Landscape

At the right of the tsuba, temple buildings rise from the shore near pine trees. Towards the back and above the hole for the kogai stands a pagoda. Waves are in the foreground at the bottom. On the reverse, plovers fly over waves. This is part of a mounted set.

[Date] 慶應丙寅年冬; [Transliteration]Keiô hinoe tora nen fuyu; [Translation] Winter of 1866, year of the tiger; [Signature] 一匠中川勝實; [Translation] Isshô Nakagawa Katsuzane (kao)
