Description A solitary figure trudges along a dirt road leading through rocky, wooded terrain. The wild scenery and luxuriant foliage rendered in bright tones are characteristic of O'Connor's landscapes painted from memory in London in the 1830s. A similar view, "A Wooded Landscape" also dated 1839, was sold at Sotheby's London, March 31, 1976, no. 87.
