Bust of a Ram-Headed God (Khnum)

Egyptian (Artist)
ca. 305-250 BCE (Early Ptolemaic Period)
limestone
(Ancient Egypt and Nubia , Ancient Greece )

On each side of this fragmentary relief is a sunken carving showing a bust of a ram-headed deity, probably Khnum, facing to the right. The busts are alike except for the broad collars--on one side, the broad collar is not finished.
