Three Part Print: Sugawara buyuden
(Japan and Korea )
The triplet sons of an aide to Sugawara, one of two feuding imperial regents, now have divided loyalties. The fierce Matsuomaru (Pine), at right, serves the second regent, Shihei. His brothers accuse him of betraying family allegiances. Just then Shihei's carriage arrives. The brothers Sakuramaru (Cherry) and Umeomaru (Plum) grab their swords in readiness.
