Tsuba with a Tiger and Bamboo in Rain
(Japanese Military Armor)
At the lower right of this tsuba is a tiger. A small stream runs towards the right edge and moutains occupy the background at the top. On the reverse are two stalks of bamboo. Tigers are often shown with bamboo to indicate the weak plant is hospitable to the strong tiger.
