Roundel with Monkey Eating Fruit
15th century (Renaissance)
glass
Glass roundel painted with monkey eating fruit. This is a fragment subsequently set in a later framing element, presumably to make it more attractive for purchase. The original composition may have been a Garden of Eden. The old attribution as "English" has not been assessed.
