Inro with Two Sparrows on Bamboo with Netsuke of a Rat on a Clam Shell
A standard wide (horizontal oblong) black and gold lacquer two compartment inro. Two sparrows perched on bamboo which extends around the inro. The birds in black, brown and grey lacquer in hiramakie with glass inlaid eyes. The bamboo leaves with inlaid aogai on a ground of black roiro with mura-nashiji in gold and red. The interior with nashiji and fundame. The cord channels are internal.
