Virgin and Child

Description Conservation Provenance Credit
Description The Virgin, enthroned and wearing long, dark robes, holds the Christ Child on her lap, her left hand touching his toes in a gesture of motherly love and affection. The Child, right hand raised, with two fingers pointing heavenward, returns his mother's gaze. Both the Virgin and Child have haloes, the Child's made distinctive by the Greek cross in the center.
