Description A hawk in flight is at the upper right of this tsuba. Gold clouds and openwork surround the central opening. The silver moon is at the lower left, just below the hole for the utility knife. The moon can been seen on the reverse of the tsuba as well.
Provenance Henry Walters, Baltimore [date and mode of acquisition unknown]; Walters Art Museum, 1931, by bequest.
