Tsuba with a Carp
(Japanese Military Armor)
This tsuba shows a carp swimming through a stream among water milfoil. The carp's head is at the lower right, with its body and tail extending up the right side. Carps are considered a felicitous motif. On the reverse are rocks, a stream and milfoil.
