Description This carved sculpture depicts a seated male figure, possibly a scribe. He has long hair, and a cloth with folds about his waist. His arms are on his lap with a flat scroll (?) between them. The piece is broken across the arms and legs; the lower portions are missing.
Provenance Henry Walters, Baltimore [date and mode of acquisition unknown]; Walters Art Msueum, 1931, by bequest.
