Lord Cliffden
ca. 1800
watercolor on ivory
This miniature has the initials "R.C." at lower left, but this may have been added at a later date, and the miniature it is not thought to be by the famous Richard Cosway, although it appears to date from ca. 1800.
Reverse: oval of blue guilloche enamel around fabric oval that perhaps once contained a lock of hair. Glazed.
